Dr. Anthony was born and raised in Antigua, West Indies, and completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Zoology and Business Marketing degree at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She has lived in North Carolina for 14 years and considers herself an official North Carolinian. Being a veterinarian has been her lifelong career goal. So, with her family's encouragement and support she left her home in Antigua at the age of 16 and moved to Alberta, Canada and completed her BSC in Zoology - Animal Biology and Business Marketing Degree, and went on to graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 after completing her senior year at North Carolina State University, School of Veterinary Medicine.
Immediately upon graduation, she worked at the Guil-Rand Veterinary Hospital in High Point, NC where she practiced routine small animal daily medicine and after hour's emergency medicine for 2 years. She then relocated to Tampa Bay, Florida area and worked for twelve years with Banfield Pet Hospital. During those times, Dr. Anthony became a Chief of Staff mentoring numerous doctors and managing staffs of veterinarians, technicians, and receptionists. Dr. Anthony opened and grew two Banfield Pet Hospitals from pre-opening to vibrant large practices.
Dr. Anthony has always loved emergency medicine and practiced it while doing routine preventative care after the initial first two years of emergency medicine after graduation. When the opportunity arose to open and operate a fully functional emergency hospital, she jumped on the opportunity.
Dr. Anthony prides herself in providing optimal pet care with exceptional client service.
